लगातार तीसरी बार स्यानाचट्टी में बनी झील जैसी स्थिति
उत्तरकाशी। यमुनोत्री हाईवे एक बार फिर खतरे की जद में आ गया है। बीती रात हुई भारी बारिश के बाद यमुना नदी का जलस्तर अचानक बढ़ गया। इसके चलते बड़े-बड़े पेड़ बहकर हाईवे पुल पर फंस गए और नदी का पानी पुल के ऊपर से बहने लगा। इस दौरान स्यानाचट्टी के होटलों व आवासीय इलाकों में पानी घुसने से लोगों में अफरा-तफरी मच गई।
लगातार बारिश से स्यानाचट्टी में झील जैसी स्थिति तीसरी बार बनी है और खतरा लगातार बढ़ रहा है। यहां झील का जलस्तर इतना बढ़ गया कि होटलों की दूसरी मंजिल तक पानी पहुंच गया। स्थानीय लोग दहशत में हैं और हालात पर काबू पाने की कोशिश जारी है।
सिंचाई विभाग की तीन मशीनें कुपड़ाखड्ड का मलबा हटाकर जलस्तर नियंत्रित करने में जुटी हैं, लेकिन लगातार बारिश से स्थिति बिगड़ती जा रही है। वहीं एनएच विभाग भी पुल पर फंसे पेड़ों और मलबे को हटाने का प्रयास कर रहा है ताकि नदी का बहाव सामान्य रह सके, हालांकि संकट पूरी तरह टला नहीं है।
इस बीच पूर्व विधायक केदार सिंह रावत ने अधिकारियों की कार्यशैली पर गंभीर सवाल उठाए। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि पिछले दो महीनों से सरकारी धन का दुरुपयोग हो रहा है। रावत का कहना है कि अगर झील के निर्माण के दौरान तकनीकी और वैज्ञानिक उपाय अपनाए गए होते तो यह संकट खड़ा नहीं होता। उन्होंने स्यानाचट्टी के दोनों ओर बहने वाले खड्डों पर सुरक्षात्मक कार्य और वरुणावत की तर्ज पर पहाड़ियों के ट्रीटमेंट की मांग भी की है।
